south end real estate

Just south of the Back Bay lies Boston’s South End. Architecturally similar in the collection of brick rowhouses, the South End is also a great place to live. With many shorter, tree lines streets and numerous parks scattered throughout, the South End is known for historically having more of a neighborhood-like feel. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and preserved by the South End Historical Society and Landmarks Commission, the neighborhood is well preserved and maintains its historic character.

Today the South End is a big draw for many young professionals and empty nesters. The close proximity to downtown, easy access to transportation and highways and countless restaurants and bars create a perfect neighborhood to live in. SoWa (South of Washington Street) district has become even more popular in recent years with many artist studios and stands that are open for the public to view and purchase their work.
