South Boston is a densely populated area of Boston located between Fort Point Channel and Dorchester Bay. Commonly known as “Southie,” it historically was known as a Irish community abundant with triple deckers lining both east and west sides. Broadway Street is the main thoroughfare that will take you from the border of the South End all the way to Castle Island Park and Carson Beach along Boston’s beautiful harbor.
