Technically a part of South Boston, Seaport has its own distinct identity. Much like South Boston, it is a coastal neighborhood that consists of many different wharfs that had once been active ports years ago.
Today, Seaport is undergoing a grand transformation. For many years the area had been popular for the convention center and hotels that had been built throughout it. Now many restaurants and several skyscraping residential towers are being built to cater to the demand of luxury urban housing. Easily accessed by major routes including 90, 93, Ferry Service and a few blocks to Boston’s Financial District make for an ideal location.
