Cambridge real estate
The city of Cambridge is perched on the north side of the Charles River. Home to a few of the most prestigious schools including Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge is well known around the globe.
Cambridge is often called “The city of squares” due to the number of squares that it has including Harvard, Inman, Central and Kendall Squares. Each area is distinct in its own personality, but all offer a variety of services for their residents from shopping to dining.
It was in the 1980’s when companies particularly in the tech industry began playing a large role in the popularity of Cambridge. First Lotus opened up shop there and was followed years after by biotech firms including Genzyme, Biogen and Novartis.
Today, the Kendall Square area is noted for being home to many additional tech companies including Google, Microsoft and Amazon.
